IF YOU ARE SEEKING A MEDICAL TRANSCRIBER POSITION WITH MD to MD, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

1. A university degree from a four-year institution is favored, but not mandatory. At minimum, you must have completed medical transcription course(s) at an accredited community college and have a demonstrable, thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
2. At least 10 years of medical transcribing experience.
3. At least 3 years working in a hospital environment, meaning that you are familiar with all work types and medical specialties, History and Physicals, Operative Reports, Acute Care, multi-specialty clinic reports, and so forth.
4. Three references (with current phone numbers). These need to be submitted with your resume. No co-worker references please. Only send contact numbers of supervisors or business owners for consideration. Please do not apply if you cannot supply three such references.
5. CMT qualifications are preferred, but not mandatory.

IF YOU ARE SEEKING AN ACADEMIC TRANSCRIBER POSITION WITH MD to MD, YOU NEED:

1. A university degree from an accredited, four-year institution.
2. At least 10 years of transcribing experience.
3. Three references (with current phone numbers). These need to be submitted with your resume. No co-worker references please. Only send contact numbers of supervisors or business owners for consideration. Please do not apply if you cannot supply three such references.
4. Capabilities to listen carefully and distinguish multiple voices on audio files that involve several speakers, in interview or focus group environments.

5. The opportunity to become experts with specific dictators’ speech patterns. With our medical transcribers, we try to give you primary and secondary accounts as much as possible, rather than have you work from large pools. We find that this makes our transcribers more productive, resulting in less QA editing and better control of your earnings.
6. Our productivity-based structure is predicated on the amount of work you do. Depending on the accounts you work on, you may be paid by line, character, or audio length. Either way, the more you work, the more you earn. It’s your decision. You have access to your line, character count, or audio length as you go, so you know exactly where you stand.

We use multiple technological platforms, all state-of-the art, and which one(s) you use depends on whether you are focused on medical transcription, voice recognition editing, or academic transcription. In all cases, we focus on making you more productive with built-in expanders, auto spell checks, and other features. Some of our transcribers work in all areas and benefit from more varied and well-rounded work experience by gaining exposure to different technologies and industries.

There are also opportunities to advance into proofreading, editing, and administrator positions.
